The release notes accompanying the download are quite brief, however, simply stating “This update is recommended for all users” who are running an existing developer beta build of El Capitan.ĭeveloper Beta builds are separate from Public Beta builds, and typically Apple will release a new developer beta before later pushing an update to the OS X Public Beta program. Presumably the new release continues to focus on bug fixes, feature improvements, performance enhancements, and other optimizations to OS X 10.11. As usual a reboot is required to complete installation. Mac developers can find the new version, which weighs in around 1.5GB, available to download now from the App Store Updates section.
